Funding

CPRN is an independent non-profit organization with charitable status. It acquires its funding from diverse sources - federal and provincial governments, foundations, corporations, unions and private individuals. This diversity ensures that no single voice dominates the research. The Board of Directors ensures good stewardship of these resources. CPRN's audited financial statements are published in our Annual Reports.

CPRN is cost-effective. Projects are ambitious in their scope, but costs and risks are spread across a number of funders. Overheads are minimized and research is expedited by attracting expertise from universities, think tanks, and other organizations. Dozens of people volunteer their time to participate in the governance and the research process.
