Following the publication of CPRN's Quality of Life in Canada: A Citizens' Report Card in September 2002, and in light of the number of quality of life reporting systems that are underway across Canada, CPRN decided to organize a workshop to bring together people active in the field, to take stock and to consider future initiatives.
