Research Report:An International Comparison of Policies and Outcomes for Young ChildrenThe goal of this project is to explore possible linkages between social policy mix and outcomes for young children in Canada, the Netherlands, Norway, the United Kingdom and the United States. Since the analysis is quantitative in nature, the focus is primarily on the tax and transfer programmes available in the five countries that can more easily be studied using quantitative techniques. The research attempts to move us toward an improved understanding of possible links between the mix of programmes available for children in any country and outcomes for children in that country.
