Improving Family Service: Linking Outcomes and Research Results with Practice
The report concentrates on the themes of the determinants of child and family health, Family Service Canada’s studies of family assets and client outcomes, and utilizing research for service planning and delivery. The learnings from these studies provide a bridge for understanding both the promise and the perils of agency-based research. The report concludes with some practical advice about what can be done to enhance the capacity of agencies and their front-line workers to bridge the gap between practice and research.
