The Quality of Public Education in Canada - Measuring Success

by Kathryn McMullen

Measuring Success - Progress Report on the Quality of Public Education in Canada, is the product of a joint effort of Canadian Policy Research Networks and The Learning Partnership. Written by Kathryn McMullen, Senior Researcher, Work Network, it is the first-ever Progress Report on the quality of publicly funded education in Canada. The report provides an overview of how Canadian students measure up, provincially and internationally. It also argues that the performance of the education system can be measured on many dimensions and that parents, communities and the public all have critical roles to play in helping young people to achieve their best.
