For the Canadian Policy Research Networks, 1998-1999 was the beginning of a new era. It was a year when our approach to policy research was affirmed, when the federal government made a strategic investment to sustain our operations into the future, and when a number of major programs helped to inform policy development in Canada. There is a great sense of momentum in this organization.
